Spruce Up Your Space: Steps to a Clean Yard

Ready for spring? So are we!

March means St. Patty’s Day, basketball madness, spring break, and… yard work! Let’s make it simple, people. Let’s make the neighbors stare. Let’s make your home the #1 on the block with Radon Crew’s simple advice to a clean yard.

Staring at remnants from winter can be intimidating. Where to begin? Start by picking up scattered twigs, branches, or whatever else might be covering your yard. Don’t forget to prune away dead and damaged bushes and trees! This will ultimately encourage the vegetation’s growth.

Prep your damaged grass for spring seeding. Look for patches of grass that died over the winter months and sprinkle with new soil and seed. Getting a head start on this will ensure that April showers will bring May flowers, but also green grass.

The last piece of advice we have for you is to get a start on weeding. This is a full-time job if you want a pristine yard. Our tip? To gradually weed throughout the spring and summer, not limiting it to once or twice a season. Our advice may seem daunting, but we assure you that the few hours you will spend this spring will make your yard a fun and inviting space for your summer BBQs.

As a reminder, don’t forget to keep Radon control in the back of your mind. Spring is the perfect time to ensure your home is safe for you and your family. Call us today at (605) 336-1000 to schedule a home inspection.
